| What started out to be a tale for your entertainment has turned into a warning to lovers everywhere from a truly hopeless romantic. Years have passed since those awkward days. My children are grown and dating now. (In fact, I was already their mother, at their ages.) Cathie said she hasn't given up on me yet. I've told people I'm saving myself for Dr. Samuel Beckett (see my Quantum Leap pages). But, to be perfectly honest, I fell for another guy, not long ago. (Sorry, Sam!) He was not at stage of wanting a relationship. And I wasn't ready to settle for half of one. What have I learned? (Hmm. How much space will Geocities let me use?) Be honest with yourself and with others. Depend on the other person, but never underestimate yourself. Fall in love with a guy who can and will be your best friend. Being in love can turn an ordinary, sane adult into a child at heart. What about you? Is your love story sad, happy, romantic, funny? Educational? I dare you to write to me and let me post it here! Sometimes just telling the story can help relieve the heartburn.... Click on the mailbox, please! |
