Now, don't get me wrong. I like cell phones.
They're handy and, sometimes, reassuring
(like when your car stops running in the middle of nowhere).
But there's a time and a place for everything, folks. And while you're navigating tons of steel through streets occupied by people and other fragile objects is neither the time nor the place!
If you need facts about the safety of talking on a cell phone while driving, go here.
If you want to know what to do about it, go
here.
If you'd like to spread the word, copy these images.
If you put one on your website, link it to one of these places:
Drive now, talk later.
Letter from Patty Pena.
Cell phone update.
Get a bumper sticker.
Make a difference.

Count how many people pull out in front of you today.
How many of them had a cell phone to one ear while they were driving?
If it happens in my little town, it could happen in yours.
Someone's life could depend on this.
My thanks to the people at cartalk.org for taking a stand on this issue.
