YOU are a feminist: Didn't you know?
I had an interesting conversation with a woman from work awhile back. She was a bit annoyed at the image that many people have when they hear the word feminist. When you think of feminism do you picture a butch woman with a buzz cut waving a picket sign? That is a terrible stereotype. The truth is YOU are a feminist. And so am I. If you believe that women should have the right to work, the right to vote, and, oh, say, the right to not get beaten up by their husbands, then yes, you ARE a feminist. We may not be activists, but we are definitely feminists.
