It's such a funny thing bringing a child up in today's world. We unfortunately have not set time limits to television watching in our home, and if Nick, Jr. or Noggin happens to be on for several hours, Allison is usually watching it. Wonder Pets, Diego, Dora, Backyardigans. Those are now the staples of television. What I find interesting, though, is the language she picks up. Sometimes she'll use a Spanish word to someone who has no idea what she's saying, like sube (climb). Yesterday we were getting ready to leave the house when she said, "Vamos!" (let's go!). And now we've been watching them so much that she sometimes answers Dora and Diego's prompts, such as "Where do we go next?", "Bridge!", and she often tries to sing along ("Lo hicimos!"). An odd world, no doubt, but extremely cute!
