| Off the Page... was founded in 1993, in Philadelphia, by a group of actors and their coach and OTP Director, Donald McKenna. Committed to working each week on their craft, they would meet at the Shubin Theatre at 4th & South every Monday night from 6 until... to workshop scenes, monologues, improv, do staged readings for playwrights and the like. OTP... is still thriving today and maintains an active membership of actors. CHAPTER II - Moving West Off the Page...West has evolved into a collective group of actors, directors and producers. We work on projects individually and together with the purpose of creating a supportive environment and maintaining a collective resource for all artists. Our mission is simply art because we need to. We workshop new scripts. We hold staged readings. We produce our own films (short ones, so far) and stage plays... and oh yeah, we throw parties! |
