~~On Father's Day~~

ON FATHER'S DAY

My thoughts are better said in a poem,
which dad knows, arn't always shown.
Have I ever said, Thank You,Dad,
for all the good times we have had.
Please, listen to what I am trying to say,
I want to say{I Love You,Dad} on Father's Day,
I know you deserve the best today,
and you will have it,I pray.
I named my son, Leonard Le Roy, that's true,
would I have, Dad, If I weren't so proud of you?
I love you so very very much,
I am not much good at doing things,
but, my Love, from this poem, to you,I bring.

With more love than you will ever know,
This poem was written for my father
and published in the Fremont newspaper
in June of 1977
