14.  Theef

I've heard lots of varying opinions on this one, but I really enjoyed Theef. All of the scary elements are there, if not the suspense, and we get even more character development.  What a surprise that Scully is actually open to the idea that hexcraft is involved!  And just think of Season One, in Beyond the Sea,when she's so green and naive.  Scully almost wants to impress Mulder with her (ever-so-brief) open-mindedness!  Funny.  But now, she is looking within herself. As for Mulder, he is equally surprised.  It's enjoyable to read his face while he considers the way that Scully "keeps him guessing".
I think that there's a lot of introspection going on in this episode for both characters, and the actors do well at getting that across.
