07. Orison |

Oh, I couldn't wait for this one to air! "Irresistable" was one of the first episodes I ever saw, and Donnie Pfaster is just the creepiest, most evil character ever on the X-Files. Certainly, "Orison" does not disappoint. Not only do we get to see the ultimate justice to Pfaster, but we also get some major Scully insights. My favorite thing about season seven is the wonderful character developments. Scully's faith has only grown and become more steadfast as she has worked on the X-Files. She has opened her mind (at some times more than others), and amazingly enough, her faith in both God and science remains. It has changed in that it is not as blind as it perhaps once was, yet it simultaneously remains the same. In the end, she has to deal with whether she killed Donnie Pfaster out of neccessity or an evil spirit. Although we do not see the results of Scully's soul-searching, I believe that she came find resolve with God. |
