| Oh, this episode is fantastic! As far as I'm concerned, we are back in the groove with some great, scary, interesting stuff. As a latecomer to the Files (around the 5th season), I really am beginning to understand what the original fans of the series have been missing. I still think that seasons 6 and 7 are good, and they have a definite place, but Invocation is most definitely reminiscent of some of the classic episodes which I seem to pop into the VCR most often. If Chris Carter wanted to reel me into John Doggett's character with this mystery information (Was that his son in the picture? If so, is he dead? Kidnapped? What is his personal history?). I have bought into this effort 150%. I want to know more about Doggett for the first time this season. It is working. CC is pulling it off! I told you so. Now, don't get me wrong: I want Mulder back. I hope the series doesn't continue without him. However, I feel that Doggett has added the new dimension to the show which was predicted by many, and I am very excited about it. As for the X-File itself in Invocation, as I stated, it is absolutely classic. For those who need a synopsis, go to the Official Site (link above). Otherwise, I am pretty much speechless. A++ |
