15.  En Ami
I really wanted William B. Davis to have a great episode, but I must give an honest review:  En Ami is, at best, mediocre.  Now, there are intriguing elements, such as the whole issue of Scully's trust--the comparison of her guarded trust of the CSM with her lack of emotional/sexual trust of Mulder is so subtle that I might even be reading too much into the episode [e.g., the scene where CSM is (for some unknown reason) discussing Scully's relationship with Mulder].    Anyway, I can't really get past thinking that Davis has a "crush" on Anderson.  It's not that I have a problem with Gillian's "exposure" in the ep, but it was used in ways which made me think, "Ew, what a dirty old man!"
By the way, I really, really didn't appreciate Fox's advertising stunt on Father's Day for the repeat of
En Ami.  If you missed it, rejoice.  It showed Scully's "bra shot", with the announcer's voice saying something akin to:  "What father wouldn't want to see this?"  Tasteless, tacky, and un-Files-like!
