| Art provides children with a prime means of learning, understanding and communicating. Participating in art activities helps children to gain the tools necessary for understanding human experience, adapting to and respecting others' ways of working and thinking, developing creative problem-solving skills, and communicating thoughts and ideas in a variety of ways. |
| Art is not just drawing pretty pictures. It is about developing one's mind. It is about decision making. It is about communicating with other people. |
| Visual education could help broaden one's ability in various thinking processes. It is important to provide this creative opportunity as early in life as possible. |
| Research studies point to strong relationships between learning in the arts and fundamental cognitive skills and capacities used to master core subjects, including reading, writing, and mathematics. Recent study even links arts classes to academic achievement and other positive behavior. |
