Intro to DK2
In the game of Dungeon Keeper 2 you must create and manage a vast network of corridors, rooms, traps and doors, as you attempt to raise an army of evil creatures large enough to challenge your foes and crush them underfoot.
You are master of your dungeon; you oversee everything that goes on in your domain, and assert your iron fisted rule whenever your creatures are not behaving. But be warned, keep your babbling hoards happy or they’ll leave you and you’ll be left at the mercy (or lack of) of your enemies.
Game Modes
Campaign.
In the campaign mode you must capture all 20 of the precious portal gems so "Horny", the Horned Reaper, can use them to open the gate to the world above. Each Portal Gem is guarded by one of the Lords of the Realm. Also, there are several hidden levels, some of which can only be found if there is a full moon at the time you’re playing!
Skirmish
When fighting in a skirmish game you take on 1+ rival keepers and your mission is to be the one left standing at the end of it. Skirmish games are good ways to try out the effectiveness of traps, new creatures etc, and give you valuable experience when it comes to the campaign mode.
My Pet Dungeon
In this mode of play you can take all the time you want in creating your ideal dungeon, as there are no rival keepers and the heroes are locked away so you can bring them into your dungeon to test its effectiveness when you choose.
Multiplayer
Play DK2 with your mates over the Internet! Unfortunately, I’ve never done this and so have lacked the valuable experience of playing against human opponents, which is the greatest challenge of all.
This web site
Some would say it’s pretty stupid to make a site on a game that’s getting pretty old, but I know that there are still people out there that are still playing the game, and I hope this site will help beginners and give experienced players a few other ideas. I welcome comments about anything in this site, and if you want to share your own ideas about anything included let me know and I may put them up.
