Eternal Hearts

The relationship between Haruka and Michiru is perhaps the most misunderstood and wildly interpreted of all mange/anime relationships. This is due largely to the American dub of the Anime which made the pair cousins. Despite this butchering the truth has made it out, thanks greatly to the creator of Sailor Moon, Naoko, who without fear has stated in many interviews that the couple were indeed lovers. As if we ever had any doubt! In fact, the pair were designed to interact like a married couple.

The love shared by Haruka and Michiru is beautiful and played out delightfully throughout the entire series. Through their lives and their deaths we can see that true love truly can last forever. More than that thought, we see the strength of love. We see that determination and perserverance are repaid in full and that if we open them wide enough, share them with another, our hearts are eternal.
