| ~My Daddy~ Strong, Tender, Loving Arms Wrapping around me, Rocking me as I cry. Gathering each tear drop, Turning them into smiles And then giving them back to me. Comforting me, Holding me, Reassuring me all will be OK. Loving me, In spite of me Taking me as I am. All my sins, my thoughts, The hurtful words My Daddy forgives them all. Calling out to me, Longing to be my shelter, My refuge in the storm. Calling me home, Back to those arms I have strayed so far from. I run to Him Sobbing, And through my cries Tell of all my hearts pains. My Daddy, I am so very sorry! I cry out to Him. I look up at Him and ask How could You love me? I am not worthy of Your love. My precious daughter, It has already been forgiven. He replies lovingly. No one is worthy, It is My gift to you. All you have to do is accept it. Oh, my God, Thank you for being my Daddy And always welcoming me back into Your sheltering arms. May I always seek my shelter, And my comfort in You, Daddy. Draw me closer to You Daily. Show me every day Your never-ending love for me. Hold me through these storms and trials. Show me that I have to rely on You That nothing of this world Can comfort me quite like You can. As I crawl up on Your lap And lay my head upon Your chest Hug me and love me like never before. Make Your presence known to me Show me You are near Please let me feel Your embrace. Hold me Daddy Love me Daddy Be everything I need. ~Lorelle Marie Bond October 5, 2002 |
