Well, it looks like we're going to get cracking on our Family Heritage Albums again. I can't wait. The first new session will be held at my house next Sunday. We finished our father's 1st album which covers his ancestors (photos and memorabilia) and he and his immediate family up to the time he met my mother in 1947. Now we start my mother's 1st album, which will be about her ancestors and will cover her immediate family & Mom up to 1947, too.
My only brother is fighting colon cancer since the fall of 2003, it has metastasized, but he is still getting chemo at Duke University Hospital and you would not be able to tell he is sick at all if you saw him. Well, he is scanning every single photo so we can put them on cd's as well as print new copies for the album. He knows what he's doing and does a great job. Everyone else gets theirs printed at WalMart, but I prefer to edit and print my own; I like to edit and I have a photographic quality printer. I was not happy with the quality of printing on the black and white photos from other places. I'll have to include some pics on my Yahoo! Photos of when we were working late January 2006 to early May on my Dad's album. Eventually I'll make a Yahoo! Heritage photo album.
I've been working on the genealogy aspect of our family--both sides of it--quite a bit in the last few months, too. I use Ancestry.com and the Family Tree Maker to work on that and lately getting some help from my aunts in regard to my mother's family. It's a lot of fun because, since we've put up a genealogy website, we've been hearing from long lost cousins via the internet, some we knew and some we are discovering! (By the way, that's my sister, Deb, brother, Greg, and Baby Sister Jacki in my living room. They're looking over photos and deciding where to put them.
