Since it is almost Thanksgiving, I began thinking about what I'm thankful for this year. So here's my list:
1. I have 4 best friends, Larry, Trudy, Sue and Melvina...and 3 of them live nearby
2. I am still walking around on this earth. (Ya never know, anyone of us could wake up dead one morning--lol)
3. I have a wonderful family and they all live nearby
4. My brother is still holding his own on his 2 year fight with cancer and, in fact, looks great
5. I have a roof over my head (really a lovely home), enough food to eat (let's face it, more than enough!), a car in the driveway that still runs, with gas in the tank and air in the tires, money enough to pay my bills and a little left over.
6. I have a gorgeous, lovable cat--everyone who comes here just loves him==and he always welcomes me home.
7. I learned a new skill this year (making jewelry)
8. I have 10 beguiling nieces and nephews
9. I had a basically warm, fuzzy childhood with really fantastic parents. That's a picture of Mom and Dad as they were in my childhood. Well, actually I was probably in junior high or high school when that was taken. Although both are gone now, I have wonderful memories (and a poop-load of photos! ha!) Lots of people aren't that lucky, in fact, I know somebody like that, who had a horrendous childhood, but it's okay, we are her family now.
10. I have other friends online and in real world who are loyal and a lot of fun.
