Looks like a rainy day or two ahead!

-
Well, we surely need the rain and I'd rather have rain than ice. Getting stuff done this week, from housework to appointments, to meetings and home repairs. I finally got a new garage door opener (exciting, I know), but I'm very pleased to get my car back in my garage. My 14 year old niece stayed overnight last night since she didn't have to be to school until 9:30 and we went out to breakfast this morning. Then, after I dropped her at school, I went grocery-shopping and did a few chores, came back, took a short nap, composed a letter to a friend I haven't heard from in 10 years and who called last Saturday, washed some towels and left to pick up the same niece and another one of my other nieces, this one is 19, and we drove to Red Bowl Japanese and Sushi Restaurant to meet my sister for supper. We really enjoyed ourselves and a good thing because Becky (the 19 year old) is heading back to college this weekend and we won't see her much until March.
Got home and realized another Republican debate was on so I watched that, took time for evening prayer and did a little laundry, and now I'm exhausted. It's been a hectic week, but a rewarding and productive one (so far). I'm so thankful for my many blessings, including time with my nieces and the sorely needed rain, as well as just being able to get around and do things again. Two years ago, believe me, I could not have made it through a busy week like this, so I give thanks to our Father in Heaven with a grateful heart.
