Summer is winding down...
It always makes me a little sad this time of year, but it's been so hot and dry I'm actually looking forward to cooler autumn weather and hopefully, a lot of rain somewhere in there! One more week before my niece and nephew go back to school, so I hope to go over to their pool once or twice this week to bid a "fond farewell" to the summer of 2007. It started out very sadly, indeed, but our family managed to rally together and stay the course. One day, I will find the words to write a tribute to my brother, but it is still just too painful and too fresh for me to put all that I feel about him into words.
I know he would be proud and glad that his family has soldiered on thus far as well as we have, especially his wife and son. The grace of God supports us in all we do if we obey His word as loving followers of Christ.
