| Chapter 1 `7 years later' Nick sat in a chair on his balcony staring at the ocean. He had been sitting there all day long. He had been back in Florida for only a week, and already he felt at home. The wind was blowing lightly threw his hair and the sun was beating down, making the air warm. A wonderful change from the Oregon rain. As he sat there, he kept thinking to himself that this was a wonderful idea, to move back to Florida. After seen years, he was about ready to do anything to feel the Florida weather again. The idea came from his daughter. "DAD! I'm home." Isis yelled as she came into the house. "I'm on the back porch. " He yelled back. "Dad." She started as she sat in a chair across from him. "When I left for school you were sitting in the exact place. Please tell me you did something besides sit here all day." She said, sitting back in her chair and looking at her father for an answer. "I got up to make a sandwich for lunch." He said with a grin on his face. Isis looked at her father as if her were the most pitiful person in the world. "My dear old father, what am I going to do with you." She said, shaking her head. "OLD! I'm only 28. I'm not old!" He said looking appalled. "Your still older then me." She replied. "Only by 14 years!" He argued "So you're still old...so.hmph." "Well, on that sad note how was school?" "It was great! I got an A on a test on a book I've never heard of and Mr. Littrell said I could try out for the girl's basketball team." "Mr. Littrell?' Nick asked her. "Yeah, He's my P.E. Teacher and said that I have real talent in basketball and...." "What's his first name?" Nick interrupted her. "His name is Brain Littrell...anyways he wants a concert form from you so I can try out." "NO. And I want you out of that class." Nick said standing up and walking towards the house. "But dad..." She protested. "No buts, I said no basketball and I would call the school to get you out of the class. He said sternly He walked into the house as tears fell down Isis's eyes. **************************************************** Chapter 2 Index Prolouge Home |
