�When God closes a door, somewhere He opens up a window.�

For Maureen Still this is an appropriate maxim. Maureen Still began her music experience as a musician, singer and songwriter for rock bands in the Seattle area. Once married with three children, Maureen left the secular music industry to dedicate herself to her growing family. Throughout her life changes, Maureen continued to write music but found the motivation and inspiration for her songs was now her family, friends and her deepening relationship with God.

In the early 1990�s Maureen was instrumental in bringing contemporary Christian music to her church and in forming the contemporary choir, Power of One. The choir soon expanded their ministry to concerts, appearances and benefits across Western Washington. This was the impetus for Maureen to begin sharing her original music. With Maureen�s leadership, Power of One experienced many successes including two album recordings and performing as backup choir to Celine Dion in her March 1997 Seattle concert. They now minister whole-heartedly to their church�s teen program.

In 1995, Maureen gathered together some of her talented musician and singing friends and entered the studio to record her first solo album, "Hangin� With The Angels". The Maureen Still Band was born! This first CD began Maureen�s ministry and led to many concerts and appearances.

Twelve years and seven CD recordings later, Maureen continues to follow her calling and celebrates God�s presence in her life through every lyric and tune. Her writing has been recognized by Western Washington�s Worthy Ministries Competition and at GMA�s Music in the Rockies Christian Artists Seminar & Competition. Her live concerts are high energy and thought provoking. The Maureen Still Band is welcomed by many different Christian denominations, people young and old and they enjoy sharing and ministering to all.

Maureen is inspired by family and friends, church and home. God�s unending love and all she has been blessed with in life leads her to celebrate the Lord through her music. By following His call, Maureen Still blesses us all with a prayerful, fun and enthusiastic example of God�s glory!
 

The Band

Since the beginning of her solo career, Maureen has surrounded herself with an eclectic group of talented musicians and vocalists. Most of the members began (and still belong) in the Christian group Power of One and have been singing and playing together for over 15 years. Maureen considers her band her extended family and gives them much credit in the formation of her music. "I write the words and melodies but my friends/band are the ones that breath life into them." In fact, the "ties that bind" are much stronger than the music alone in this group. The members of The Maureen Still Band co-produce her albums, manage her website and communication, coordinate concerts and travel plans, mind mailing lists, sell CD's, handle her accounts, design posters and business cards, run sound and recordings, provide photography and collectively manage and promote their ministry! They BELIEVE in the music and incorporate it into their full lives, families and their "day jobs".
