| The Slayers Dawn of a New Age Chapter 2 On the road back in the kingdom of Dils, the half- Orc and the blond man are walking towards the nearest town to drink and find women. When the half- Orc broke the silence. �By the way, what being yer name?� The blond man flinched, only for a second, then smiled comfortably. �Yes my name, I haven�t been able to speak it in years. My name is Gourry Gabriev of Zefielia.� �Me name is Tyrone, Tyrone Lockdown. So Gourry do ye want to go back to Zefielia?� The Orcesh man asked. Gourry simply shrugged and didn�t know how to replay, but Tyrone answered for him. �We�ll go to Zefielia. Besides I wouldn�t mind visiting yer family. I mean if it�s all right with you.� Gourry simply smiled. �I don�t think we�ll get there any time soon.� �Whys that?� Tyrone asked Gourry only sighed. Then a man came out of the bush followed by a group of lizard men that surround Gourry and Tyrone. The leader spoke �Because the penalty for trespassing in the dukes land is three years of slavery.� The only word said then was, �Damn� * * * Three more years passed and Omar�s power can now be used at will. Every day he finds a new power he can use. So he�s always in his study, studying his new powers. But one day he received a letter from his Aunt Luna, sister of Lina, in the mail. Dear Omar, I�m sorry that I�m the one to tell you this, but your mother passed away due to illness. It was a letter speaking of his true mothers death, Lina�s death. Omar knew his dear mother was Ill for some time but he never though she was going to die. That night he cried for the first time in years. Cried for the love of his mother and father, who are now both dead. Hours passed as he weeped on the edge of his bed, before he read on. There will be a barrial ceremony in her honor and I would like you to come. Give the following invitations to Zel and Amelia. Luna Inverse Omar didn�t know how react anymore, for a moment he didn�t even know how to cry. Omar just sat on the edge of his bed and stared blankly into nothingness for the rest of the night. * * * The next morning Amelia went to wake Omar from his slumber only to find him siting on the edge of his bed still holding the letter from Luna. She walked to Omar and glanced at the letter and the looked back to Omar. �Was there bad news in the letter?� Amelia asked, but got no answer form the newly Psionicist, but not nearly a master. Omar just laid into his bed and covered himself up to rest. If you want to read it go ahead, then will you know my troubles. He said to Amelia with his mind. Amelia winced and picked up the letter off of the floor. She took a few moments to read the letter and nearly fainted. So this is what is troubling you. she thought to herself, but she might as well said them aloud because Omar heard every syllable. I wish to leave by noon, I want to get there quickly. I need to rest now, so please close the door behind you. Omar said to her mind. Amelia then left his room without saying another word, it doesn�t matter, Omar still herd her as clear as day. I�ll come and wake as soon as we are ready for the road. * * * Finally released after three long years of slavery Gourry and Tyrone are on the east side of the Dukedom of Kalmaart and now Zefielia is just a hop skip and a jump away. Literally, Zefielia is on the boarder of Kalmaart. �Are we close to yer home?� Tyrone asked happily rubbing his hard worked back. �Damn Duke, I�ll knock �is block off the next time me be seeing the like �o him again.� He said more to himself than to Gourry, and Gourry only smiled. �My home is really close by.� His face suddenly vary grim and Tyrone didn�t miss the look on his face. �I hope every one is in good health.� �I�m sure they are �jes fine.� Tyrone assured him. I hope your right Gourry thought to himself then looked up as a Sairune royal carriage passed them up with a strange looking young man looking out of the window. * * * As the carriage passed the two travelers Omar put his head out of the window to keep looking at them. �I wonder what king of adventure those two have seen.� Omar said to himself. Zel looked over to him vary curious, �What is it.� he asked. Omar pulled himself back into the carriage to regard Zel. �Two travelers, I was just wondering what kind of adventures they been in.� Zel smiled at Omars comment and crossed his arms and thought of all the adventures he and all of his friends have been in. �Adventuring is an exciting and dangerous part of life.� �I think everyone should venture out at least once in their life.� Amelia added. Amelia and Zel spoke of their adventures for the remainder of the ride to Luna house, and Omar eagerly hung on to every word. |
