When Jerry and his mother moved from New Jersy to California she had a wonderful new job but Jerry discovered that he didn't fit into the blond surfer crowd, especially when he tried to date one of their girl friends. Jerry managed to talk his way out of some fights but is finally cornered by several who belong to the same karate school.
As Jerry passed out from the beating he saw Miyagi, the elderly gardner leap into the fray and saved him by outfighting a half dozen teenagers. Miyagi and Jerry found the real motivator behind the boys' violent attitude is the their karate teacher. Miyagi promised to teach Jerry to fight and arranged a fight at a karate contest some months off.
When his training began, Jerry couldn't understand what he was being shown. Miyagi seemed more interested in having Jerry paint fences and wax cars than teaching him Karate. But slowly Jerry learned the secret of the "lightning feet". Then he showed all the bullies up at the All Valley Karate Championship with the devastating kick known as the crane!
Hmmmmm waffleking, why does that story sound so familiar? I sort of remember a movie like that, I guess they must of based it on the life of Jerry Flynn. -Frisco
