Scenario: Agincourt pt. 1

Description: The English war machine went deep into France, but they were caught by a force nearly ten times their size.  They hastily set up their defenses.

Forces:

English

2 sergeants

18 longbow men

French

40 mounted knights.  They can't have missile weapons but they can choose to wear gothic armor.

Layout: On one side of the field is an impassible wood. There is a swamp-like quagmire of mud in the middle that is 4” away from the English side and 12” wide on all sides. The English dug pikes into the ground.

Starting Positions: The English set up behind the pikes.  The French set up 4” away from the quagmire.

Objectives: The French must drive the English off the field. The English must kill 20 knights.

Special Rules: See my house rules on website.

Pikes: impassible for horses, difficult terrain for men.

Hand weapons: the longbow men can be armed with mallets, swords, axes, hammers, or 2-handed axs.

Veterans: the English have F4.

Quagmire: difficult terrain. They get a -1 penalty for the dismount roll when entering the quagmire. To stand in it after falling down: roll 1d6, stand on 4+. English are not affected by mud, and they can elect to knock over knights instead of wounding them.
