Scenario: Attack the Castle! Part 1

 

Description: The English forces have laid siege to the French castle.  The attackers launch a sunrise assault.

 

Forces:

English

2 companies of 12 knights with 1 ladder each

1 company of 12 longbow men

2 companies of militia with 1 ladder each

 

French

1 company of knights

1 company of crossbowmen

1 company of militia

 

Points Match:

The English must have up to twice as many companies as the French.  Both sides cannot have more heavily armored troops that lightly armored troops.

 

Layout: The French (north) side is a wall.  The area between the French and the English has scattered rocks.

 

Starting Positions: The French set up in their castle.  The English set up 24” away from the wall.

 

Objectives: The English must have 12 men over the wall by turn 18.

 

Special Rules:

Recycle: English troops other than the knights can be placed the next turn at their board edge.  They cannot move, shoot or charge that turn, and they can only move if they form a 6-man or more company.
