The Mercs involved in that particular raid were mostly new. I didn�t like that. Too many new faces makes me nervous. It�s hard to trust a guy with a gun behind you, even when you know them.

But the leader of the team was a Trandosian I held in high regard. He is basically why I was a part of this. His efforts in freeing slaves, along with his fair treatment of all, had earned my respect. I was determined to follow his lead, wherever it may be.

There was also a Radian known as Lapo in this group. I had not done much with him until recently, but I at least knew him. And there was another with us, one I thought was my friend, that I knew well.

I remember thinking in the back of my mind that my fears were unfounded.
