RULES AND MECHANICS FOR ONLINE (FORUM) PLAY

      The Curse of Ne-Gok-Sa is ideally suited for play in an online environment; It can be played in a chat room, on a bulletin board, or in a community forum. Here is an example of a completed online game. (Registration is required to view or participate in CoN games at HSers.com, but registration is free and members' personal information is not distributed in any way.) The following addenda to the basic "Curse of Ne-Gok-Sa" rules (mostly notes on mechanics) will apply to the games hosted by LordRaidor at www.heroscapers.com in the 'Contests' forum:

      CoN games online sometimes play with optional 'advanced' rules that give some Valhallan Warriors "Special Powers" which are used at NIGHT, similar to the Visionary's power. This reflects the unpredictable magical influence of the Wellspring on all of the characters in the cave (not just the Puppets and the Visionary) and brings much more depth and complexity to the game. In an 'advanced' cave where these roles are being used, the following additional rules will apply. An alphabetized list of potential "Special Roles" can be found here.
