2 October 1861 - Joel Beeman is mustered into 2nd Michigan Cavalry, Company F
1 January 1862 - George G. Root promoted to the rank of Full Corpral
1February 1862 - George G. Root reduced to Private
14 March 1862 - Schuyler Patterson enlists from North Plains, Detroit, Michigan
21 July 1862 - Reuben Larabee enlists from Kalamazoo, Michigan at age 26 at the rank of Sergent
15 August 1862 - George W. Ervay wounded
2 September 1862 - William M. Root enlists at the age 24 at the rank of Private
2 September 1862 - Joseph Root enlists at age 27 at the  rank of Private
October 1862 - Schuyler Patterson joins the 2nd Pennsylvania Cavalry, Company C
21 December 1862 - Schuyler Patterson dies of pneumonia and diptheria near Fairfax, Virginia
1 July 1863 - George W. Ervay shot in the head at Little Round Top, during the Battle of Gettysburg
6 July 1863 - George W. Ervay succumbs to his wounds at Little Round Top, during the Battle of Gettysburg
15 September 1863 - Reuben Larabee deserts
2 January 1864 - Homer Trim enlists from Grand Rapids, Michigan at age of 27 at the rank of Private
5 January 1864 - Joel Beeman re-enlists
29 June 1864 - Cyrus P. Larabee enlists from Hastings, Michigan at the age 36 at rank of 1st Lieutenant
