Civil War Medicine
McKim's Mansion Hospital
During the months of July, August and September, Schuyler Patterson spent time in the U.S. General Hospital at McKim's Mansion in Baltimore, Maryland.  He was not wounded, but like the majority of men who spent time and in many cases, died in the Civil War, he had fell ill with some malidy.
While he recovered from this illness he and some of the others there, were set to work helping care for those who were wounded or those who were so ill they could not do simple things for themselves.
