1. To install Anarchy Online on your machine insert the cd "Anarchy Online Beta " into the CD-rom. The game installation should start automatically. If this does not happen, open Windows Explorer and find your cd-rom drive (for example "Anarchy Online" (d:\) Open this folder and find the file called Setup.exe. Double click this file and your installation procedure will start.

2. Click your way trough the installation, read the user agreement and decide where you want to install the game. The game will scan your disks for a 'games' folder and install itself to it. In eg. "c:\games\funcom\anarchy online" if nothing else is specified. If you want, you can override these settings by selecting a different target folder.

3. When the installation is finished and you have made shortcuts on the start menu, you can start playing Anarchy Online. We suggest that you go to the manual if you need more information about how to create a character.

4. Check if you have installed DirectX 8.0. This file will be included in later installs of the game. If you haven't installed DirectX 8.0 on your computer and have problems with the graphics, please download and install it.

Check out the FAQ if you have other problems with the graphics card. If you get this error message: Error Starting program A required .DLL file, W2_32.dll, download and install WinSock2. This file will be included on later installs of the game.

5. All game play will not be included in the beta version of the game. You could get an idea about the focus of the current version on the patch page.

6. Please report bugs at this page. A good description of the problem (including what you did when it was triggered and what the effect was) will help the team to solve the problem. Check if the team already knows about the bug under known bugs.
