The Forkin' Collection
All Forks collected are of the chipshop/canteen version, i must point out that im not as desperately sad as to collect every single fork i find lying about, i do have a life...if not a very small uninteresting one...appart from playing hacky sack. Anyway, well come to the fork collection, all collected from the area in which i spend most of the sunny days lying in the grass and gazing into heaven. Some may call it strange or stupied, but then again lordjiva is collectiong bottle tops for some reason! so now tell me whos sadder?? But enough small talk, there are some rarities here and this and that.
A Traditional British "chip shop" fork. Probally THE most common chip fork in britain, in recent times its been attempted with foriegn foods. but its classic "duo-prong" design has made it a purly chip fork. This original fork dates back to the 1940's and has been in production ever since, its design has remained unaltered ever since. Rumer has it that in 1938 Hitler ordered a box of these forks from a british supplier but they refused. So after trying poland france, and russia, he got mightily pissed off, as his chips were getting cold, and invaded a whole load of countries in search for these forks, but the Fork Liberation Army (FLA) kept them well hidden. This Classic fork is made from wood, but is only a "duo-prong" and doesnt stand up well against a diverse food range.
A rare one from the collection, stolen from somewhere in euro-disney, its been liberated now!! haha, all thanks to the person who brought me this one, as it is pretty rare to this country. The retreiver unfortunatly died of starvation to bring it back, as she couldnt eat her food as she was saving the fork for me. Its a clever bit of workmanship, and a decent quality plastic, the yellow see through tint in it gives the fork an extra angle to work with. A good example of how the EU countrys really can apply themselves in the fork related arena if they want to. Credit where credits dew.
