THE TWO DAVIDS DO BATTLE
So, there were really no surprises as to who would feature in the final of the Tory Derby - David Cameron and David Davies. But for whom should one go?
Cameron, as I have said before is an unknown quantity. He has the great quality of beiing able to present his himself well, in an articulate manner, with fire and passion, but...... He mus learn, if he is going to say nothing, to say it more slowly, that we get less of it! His image is not the best either, never mind what he looks like now. Give him some stress in the job and let's see hos he will look in 3-4 years time?
All this drugs business is of course a nonsense. If the media really wanted to find out whether he took hard drugs at Cambridge and subsequently, they could. Perhaps they are looking in the wrong place. I mean, hard drugs are institutionalised in this country now, thanks to Blair and his chronies. .
Davies? Well, he speaks well enough on a one-to-one basis, has positive ideas, whether they will go down well or not remains to be seen, but can he sell the Tory party to the Nation? Again, he has not the best  image. either.
So where do we go from here? I suspect, unless he seriously blots his copy-book,.young David will win. Will that be another indictment on the rank and file membership of the Tory party, who have got it wrong so far on all occasions?

Postscript:
It now appears that the majority of Tory MPs will back Cameron. Or is this just propaganda being put out by the Cameron camp and those in the press who support him. If so, some Tories are learning. But I suspect his acolytes have done the rounds of the Tory MPs, particularly the right-wing ones, and promised them that their  man will do anything to get into power and when in, he will take right-wing views aboard. Of course, none of them will have been offered plum opposition ministerial appointments.
