DAVID CAMERON
BUT

BUT WHO IS PULLING HIS STRINGS ?
So DC has been elected as expected to lead the Tory party. He has assembled a decent enough team around him, although I ask the question where were these men the last 8 years? Nowhere to be seen or heard. I hold them responsible for the state of the nation, not Labour.
As to his performance so far, it's OK., but I don't enthuse as much as some commentaters. Let us see. Certainly Blair bringing in Campbell again does not auger well for the Tories. They simply have no one of such a low caliber.
I ask again though, who is the organ grinder stanbding behind DC, who is pulling the strings? Who is the strongest link here?
December 2005

Who indeed? Cameron has performed reasonably well and looks like he will be elected as the new Tory leader.
He has been beavering away behind the scenes with the Tory party membership nd MPs, no doubt offering the latter all sorts of plum shadow appointments. Davies has gone centre stage, into the media appealing to the electorate as a whole, in the hope, I suppose, that there might be a spin off on the  membership vote.
To get back to Cameron. He does not speak that well, I mean not as well as Blair, but that does not say much. He has little to say, which appears to be a good thing. Look where it got Blair and his accolytes. He does speak a lot, mind you, and he really should do so more slowly. It is all very well speaking as rapidly as he does, it gives the appearance of an energetic young man, but it also makes him sound disoriented and garbled on occasion. He does not have a good, photogenic image. He has a receding hair-line and that augers badly for Tory politicians! He does come across as very shallow, to me at least. So all in all a good potential candidate.
On a more serious level, yes he could be a good leader of the Tory party, as long as there is someone to pull his strings. Who is the organ grinder?
I really should like to now.  No doubt in time all will be revealed.
