Matt doesn't love Danny at all. Well, ok, he loves that Danny always has his back (except that one time, but they don't mention that anymore), and he loves that Danny takes care of the million and one things that have to happen to run a tv show that Matt doesn't have the slightest clue about, and he might love the way that Danny can always make him smile, always calm him down, even when he's so fucked up on nerves that he can't even see straight.
But he definitely doesn't love Danny. Because Danny's obnoxious, and he always says the wrong thing at the wrong time, and let's face it, he can be a little bit of a bastard sometimes.
Actually, that's probably why it works, most of the time. Because Matt's obnoxious too, and god knows he very rarely says the right thing at the right time, and he knows of at least one cast member who would be first in line to call him a bastard. It's just that they always manage to do those things at different times.
But love him? Nah.
