| What Dan Loves About Charlie | ||||||||||
Notes: Written for einsoff. _____________________ Dan likes that Charlie's a little bit like Casey, and a little bit like him. He's probably a little like Lisa too, but Dan hasn't seen it, and would probably prefer to ignore it even if it was obvious. He worries a lot, about little things, and that he gets 100% from his dad. But Dan's teaching him how to get over that, how to relax a little, just like he's done with Casey (except not like that at a all, because one of those relaxation techniques involves sex, and the other one very much doesn't). Charlie's a flirt, and doesn't know it. The first half of that, Dan is reasonably sure, comes from him, but the second half is pure Casey. Casey's never known how attractive he is, how much he can get away with if he just uses that smile of his. Charlie does it too, easily charming people without having the first clue that he's doing it, and Dan can just imagine the heartbreaker he's going to be in a few years. He loves that Charlie doesn't love easily, but when he does it's complete and unquestioning and fierce, just like Casey, and just like Dan too. Most of all he loves that he's Charlie's family, as much as Casey is. |
