| What the hell do you mean Chaos Pagan?? I believe in, and worship, Chaos. This Chaos comes in many forms and faces, such as Eris (Greek Goddess of Chaos), Loki (Norse God of Chaos), Coyote (Native American God of Chaos), etc. Sometimes it comes in the form of computer malfunctions or auto wrecks or presidential elections. All in all, It is out there. Chaos seems to affect my life constantly, and through this I have learned that Chaos is just another face of "God." So you could say that I worship God, just in a way that departs from the "norm." Heresy? Who cares. We'll only know the truth when we're dead. Up to that point its all only conjecture. And the "Pagan" bit? I'm not a member of any of the "big religions," which, according to the dictionary, makes me a pagan. Do I have a problem with this? Not one damn bit. Aren't you afraid that you'll burn in Hell? I don't believe in Hell. Hell is right here on Earth, existing in the actions of Terrorists and Republicans. Hell is my not having a job for two years and having to live on an inheritance which is quickly running out. I like most Christians, and as long as they respect my faith, I will respect theirs. What's up with that star thing on your shoulder? That "star-thing" is the symbol of my faith. Mine is a modified version of the symbol used to represent chaos in the Elric books, by author Michael Moorcock. I love how this version of the symbol looks, so I use it as my own. I intend to get a tattoo of it on my left shoulder some day as well, since it represents just so much to me. So what, you bring your faith into the SCA stuff? You bet I do. Why? Because the SCA is a GAME. Since it's a game, it must have rules. Different people will interprit rules differently. I interprit them to allow me to bring my real-life-faith into the game. Many Christians bring their faith into the game, and so do I. I don't prostletize, tho, so don't worry. ;^) |
