Welcome to my home on the web!
Ok, smartass, so what's your take on the SCA?

The SCA, the Society for Creative Anachronism, is a fantastic organization. I honestly love being a hanger-on and sometimes member. Some of the people, however, I can do without. These people you probably know very well. They are the ones that take being in the SCA as such a serious part of their lives that they seem to forget that the SCA is a game and only a game.

It's these people that scare me. How can you have such a miserable mundane life that you need to live in a fantasy world where you
really are a Lord or Lady? I would, by all means, recommend a checkup from the neck-up if you're one of these people.

I have a wide variety of reasons why I now choose to never hold an office in the SCA again (I was once Seneschal of the Canton of Summergate in Calafia). Part of it is because of the shitty trouble I got into in Calafia. Some people that had it out for me (no, I'm
NOT paranoid, especially now that I'm on meds for my Bi-Polar Disorder) managed to get a Court of Chivalry called against me. Yeah, it was that serious. I was found guilty of charges that were leveled against me for things that happened when I was unmedicated. This part is important: I was UNMEDICATED. Basically I got 5 years probation, which is fine with me. Now I'm VERY medicated (Effexor and Zyprexa) and I have a new outlook on life, thanks to better living through chemistry. Part of that outlook is that I realize I don't have what it takes to hold an office in the SCA. I'm not made of the right mettle. I accept it, happily.

Now I'm moving to a new location and starting a new life. That's why I've developed a new name and persona. My old life is in the past, and I now look forward to the future and what it holds for me, my wife, and my beautiful daughters. The sun has finally risen.
