| The new format is better in many ways, so I am keeping it, until I decide otherwise. It has been a very long week, so let me recap: Grandmother was admitted and released from the hospital. She had a colloted artiary in her foot, and it was the size of a watermelon and black as the ace of spades. I visited a few times and her hospital seemed nice enough, but she wasn't moving, and that drives her crazy. I have not had a day off since I got back from the beach. My first day off will be Friday. I work on Saturday, and then I am done. I am going to try and get as much packing done as possible on Friday and Saturday afternoon, because I want to go to Philly on Monday and stay till Tuesday. It's probably not going to happen, but I am going to do everything in my power to make it happen. The new fall line is in a Banana Republic; its not as good as the summer line. I am dissapointed. Also I was the only guy on the mens side almost all day, and the guy they gave me for 4 hours was incompitant. It was a pretty hellish experience. Which is too bad, since I was having such a great time until now. I am still optimistic, and besides I only have three days left to work for em. Speaking of work, only one more shift at the much despised theater! Huzzah. When you condense it like that, my week doesn't seem that long... I should not do that. |

| I return to Drew next week, the home of more liberals than I have ever met in Virginia, and I wonder, as co-president of College Republicans, if I should be more vocal about conservative thought and its advantages or be more eccumenical, meaning giving ground in areas that will just create hostility (like George W. or abortion) that will never lead to anything. My primary goal, of course, is to build a strong relationship between the conservatives on campus, so they don't feel so alienated, my secondary goal is to try and stem some of the more far left policies and practices on campus (Vagina Monologues being one of my targets). It is, of course, not solely my decision but I feel something must be done. I think, at least initially, I will have to remind everyone that conservatives and Republicans have just as much of a right to be argumentitive and speak their minds too.
