| Combine hard-edge modern rock with poppy-light electronica and you get The Hunger, a band that can be described in one word: addicting. Superthug is the bands sophomore effort, and its very in your face and catchy. Almost every element on this album actually melds the concepts of hard rock and electronic music, instead of just merely having them work in unison with each other. Many bands have been able to create their own sound, but few have been able to create a cross-breed genre like this. The songs also seem to be their own islands of sounds, separating them from every other track. I myself notice new elements every time I listen to the CD, which usually only happens in the first few months of listening, and Ive had this disc since early 1999. Highlights for this album include the rocking Free, the albums title song Cinematic Superthug, the interesting Ray, and my favorite track Phoenix, a song that is no less than incredible.
