| Sometimes, a band comes along that makes you feel damn good. I believe one of these bands is Cowboy Mouth. New Orleans rock is their forte, and they do it well, but with a twist all their own. Many of the songs are get up out of your seat and thrash around and scream and jump and go crazyand they STILL retain a light, happy, pop sound. Their album Easy invokes a philosophical happiness in the bottom of your soul and causes riotous gladness in your heart. This further spreads to your brain, and you are now totally enthroned in full-fledged Cowboy Mouth frenzy. I dont think an entire review of such descriptions could accurately portray what happens when you listen to this band, so Ill stop trying here and simply tell you to buy the CD, because it really is worth it! The vocal style of Fred LeBlanc (vocals, drums, guitars, etc.) grabs hold of you, leaving the music of Rob Savoy, Paul Sanchez, and John Thomas Griffith to finish the job. LeBlanc isnt the only vocalist thoughthe other three members of Cowboy Mouth sing vocals on several songs themselves! On a side note, LeBlanc is the only person Ive ever seen sing live and play the drums at the same time. Highlights from this album include the title track Easy, How Do You Tell Someone, All American Man, and my personal favorite, Get Outta My Way. Again, I reiterate, go buy this CDits such a good album. |
