Love & Sex
By Daniel A. Campisi
Have you ever wanted to find the perfect date movie?  You know, one where you and girlfriend (or boyfriend for you ladies out there) can just sit back, relax, hold each other, and laugh?  Well look no further because Love and Sex is that movie.  This movie was the kind of film that makes you look at your signifigant other, and appreciate what you have.  Awww, sweet isn't it?  Now before you scream "CHICK FLICK," I should inform you that this movie is also very funny, hilarious at times.  I myself fell on the floor once I laughed so hard!  This could quite possibly be the best romantic comedy since "When Harry met Sally."
The plot revolves around a woman named Kate (Famke Janssen)
who is about as unlucky in love as a woman can get.  That is until she meets Adam (Jon Favreau), an artist that more or less sweeps her off her feet.  Of course they fall in love and you have what is your typical boy meets girl, (or would that be girl meets boy?  Oh well.) boy loses girl, boy desperately wants girl back, girl desperately wants boy back, and so on, and so on, etc. etc.
"Will they end up together?  Will there be a happy ending?" is constantly running through your mind as the end of the movie approches.   The actors do a really good job of connecting with the audience, to the point where you really do care about the characters.  This my friends, is a sign of good film-making and great acting and this movie definately has both of these things.  Janssen gives her best performance to date as the love troubled Kate, while Favreau is at his comedic best as Adam.  There is very little wrong with this film, if anything at all.  So I recommend you grab your date, head to blockbuster, rent this film, and have great time.  That's all there is to it.
