Lost Highway; a 1996 film directed by David Lynch, starring Bill Pullman and Patrica Arquette, can be described in one word: ORANGE! Extremely orange! Anyone who has seen this movi knows what I'm talking about. My friends and I sat down one evening, and watched it upon my suggestion (I heard that Marilyn Manson was in it). After the film wasted about three hours of our lives, everthing we looked at looked like it had some sort of orange tint to it. What kind of asshole director makes every friggin' thing (from the backgrounds to the lighting effects) ORANGE? And then, on top of that, the movie makes no sense. I've heard it's supposed to be a bad acid trip, a bad dream, rough sex taken to the extreme... and I was also told to watch it again to get my own understanding. I'll tell you what... you waste 3 hours of your life and tell me what kind of feeling you get out of it. Gyped, if you ask me. (Oh yeah, for all you interested out there, Marilyn Manson was in the movie... for about five seconds before he died of a heroine overdose. |
