| This movie had a simple plot: a consulate officer (Ewan McGregor) starts tracking a killer (Ashley Judd) and becomes attracted to her. For something so simple, this movie did a lot of stupid or weird things: 1. Since the officer's wife ran away with their daughter, he hallucinates his daughter telling him she'll leave if he goes after the killer, along with other forms taunting him for no reason. 2. The officer massaged a wall like it's a woman just because he thinks the killer in on the other side taking a bath. 3. Why is Ashley Judd killing these people again? 4. The officer quits so he can follow the killer all the time, then goes back when he loses her... and no one notices. 5. After the killer gets engaged to a winery owner, the officer tries to assassinate her and her family. And this is the protagonost that we are supposed to relate too? 6. When the officer and the killer finally meet for the first time, they decide they really like each other. The killer likes the officer so much, she shoots him. (and she never learns that he shot at or followed her) 7. After the killer runs from shooting the officer, he chases her, she drives off a road into a frozen lake, the officer pulls the killer out, and she dies. 8. That is where the movie suddenly ends. A simple word of advice, don't watch this movie. It's really stupid and will give you a headache for no reason. |
