The Question
I hide my feeling in a downcast face,
That is because these emotions feel out of place.
There are times when they break my farce,
When I am with you, in this case.
Whether these feelings will grow or fade,
Is an option in which I am forbade.
These emotions are as mighty as a river,
A river into which I wish I could wade.
Just like love, a river has many paths,
But this river is straight and as calm as a bath.
If a choice is not made soon, this water might go stagnant,
Something I never want to happen, for I would feel my own wrath.
In my darkness, you shine like a full moon,
Lighting things up so it seems like noon.
Within my madness, you are the solitary fixed point,
And hopefully, with your help, it will all end soon.
I hope you liked this poem,
For it took a lot of thought.
Now if you will just answer me one thing,
Then this will not have been for naught.
