This temple also built during the rein of Ramses II was built in honor of his wife Nefertari and the goddess Hathor. This temple is smaller than Ramses II and to the North of the main temple. The mistake should not be made that this is her tomb. It is only a temple and her tomb is actually in the Valley of Queens. The inscription over the entrance of the temple reads;
"Ramesses II, he has made a temple, excavated in the mountain, of eternal workmanship, for the chief queen Nefertari, beloved of Mu, in Nubia, forever and ever, Nefertari for whose sake the very sun does shine."
As you can see below Ramses gave a much higher standard to his queen than most egyptian rulers. The exquisite detail that was put into this temple would indicate that.
