| "Jack the Donkey V2" |
| After Jack's success at GPRS '02, I had to come back with something better. To start, I removed my servos, reciever, and battery from the old version. I had won a battery at GPRS and I decided to use it in the new version of Jack as it was 6V rather than 4.8. The new battery meant a much speedier bot. Once I had removed all components I needed, I started to created a new chassis. I used some thin sheet metal to make a box for all components that had mounting plates angled the way I wanted my wedge. i then proceeded to glue my servos in a pair of holes made at the correct places in the chassis. The battery and reciever could just float around inside. After mounting my wedge, I made a top plate. I mounted the top plate using a pice of velcro as a hinge. the front had a ledge that would go underneath the wedge plate. Finally, I added side skirts and a back skirt. Then I was ready.
