the clouds in the sky took my breath away
they crawled inside me today and lifted me up
I sat lying on a cloud with a raindrop in my hand
staring down at the world, looking down at you
and you looking up at the sky made me think
you might have had a thought of me for a moment
trying to see where you fit in, you looked to the sky
you sought for answers to your mundane life
I sprinkled the waters of insight onto you
I tried to shed some light so you would see you need me
you now realize how much I meant in your life
you now see you were foolish to put me aside
but I don't mind as long as you now see that
I see you in my dreams and hold you near my heart
for you are the one who makes me feel whole
without you I am me but I am also someone else at the same time
so as I walk along my cloud and hop to the next
I see the sun setting and a rainbow faintly glowing
the rays extend in so many colors into me, into you through us both
I stop to watch the sun kiss the horizon
and I make a wish on it when it does
I wish for you to see what you must see to understand
All you need is me and all I need is you.
