Factoids:
* Was born in High Rock, the homeland of the Bretons, but was raised primarily in Velnewood by Eleweyn, a friend of her family.
* Is most familiar with Bosmer traditions and culture due to her upbringing, but has made some effort to learn her native Breton traditions and culture. Travel has also made her fairly cosmopolitan.
* Started her adventuring life at the tender age of fifteen (in human years)
* Uses a specialized Bosmer-developed cantrip to protect her bare legs from the rigors of outdoor life (in case you were wondering ^_^) Eleweyn apparently came from a long line of Bosmer women who believed in the necesity of always staying in close contact with the earth - and that one's legs should always look perfect no matter where you've been tromping around ^_~
* Has visited Skyrim, Elsweyr, and Cyrodil in her travels pre Morrowind.
* Actually considered a secondary career at thievery when she was younger, but gave up the idea quickly after seeing the emotional damage wrought by her stealing someone's locket. After that incident, became more enthusiastic about hunting down bandits and other unscrupulous thieves in the wilds. Oddly enough, her attitudes toward thieving only extends to the living; she has few compunctions about taking items from buriel mounds and tombs, reasoning that the living have far more need of such treasures than the dead more often than not.
* Was imprisoned four years ago thanks to having made a fool of the Thieves Guild member Scullus Bravius; Alanya had been resting at the tavern where Scullus was boasting of his prowers with the ladies. To this day, however, the tale of Alanya and Scullus is told in taverns across the Imperial Providence, and tavern wenches take delight in hearing of how the young Breton made the braggart thief scream her name all night, and how she hung up his trousers the next day on the tavern sign.
* Caught a bad illness while in prison and suffered a loss of her physical abilities from it. Also lost a lot of her edge with her skills due to lack of use - but not, notably, her leg-protecting cantrip ^_~
* Is grateful to the Emperor for pardoning her, but is not especially patriotic.
* Met the Bosmer enchantress Galbedir within the first week or so of arriving on Morrowind; the two hit it off almost instantly, having common interests, and soon became recurring romantic partners.
