Seeking a full-time Interiors Assistant position in the Anytown area to complement my B.A. studies in interior design.In addition to advanced visual design and color skills, I have experience managing design teams, estimating time and costs, preparing production schedules and creating business plans.
In Fall 2001, I studied the first three of eight required courses in the AAC's Decorative Arts Certificate Program:
BASICS OF INTERIOR DECORATION. Introduction to the fundamental elements and processes involved in designing and planning an interior space, including drawings, space planning, space and proportion, color, materials, lighting, and furniture.

After realizing my skill and interests are geared towards interior design versus decoration, I enrolled in II's 3-year diploma in January 2002. This program consists of nine study subjects.Within each subject, specific topics are explored extensively:
MATERIALS. Natural Materials (stone, wood, metal), Manmade Materials (brick, glass, plastic), Applied Materials (wallpaper, paint, plaster, murals), Soft Furnishings (textiles, carpet, drapery), Properties and Suitability of Materials, Cataloging and Storing Materials, Dealing with Suppliers and Manufacturers, Measuring Rooms, Estimating Materials.
