Summary of Skills

I have 4 years graphic design classroom experience and have held graphic design positions at magazine and newspaper companies. I offer strong organizational and time-management skills in which I am always punctual, and work efficiently. I have a thorough understanding of design programs and hope to continually increase that understanding.

Work Experience

Kenosha News; Pre-press (November 2003 - Present)

In the Pre-press division of the News, I have increased my knowledge of design programs used in print because my duties include scanning and adjusting images, and the layout of newspaper pages.

Clapper Communications; Editorial/Art Department Intern (May 2003-August 2003)

At Clapper, I had the opportunity to write articles for Crafts 'n Things Magazine, contribute to the layout and design of magazine pages and also designed a specialty book of garden crafts for publication.

Red Rover/R.R. Donnelley Co.; Data Processor (May 2000-August 2000)

My duties as data processor included preparing data in order for J.C. Penney products to be accessed and purchased on-line. I occasionally scanned images for publication.

Huntley Park District; Camp Counselor (June 2001-2002, August 2001-2002)

As camp counselor, I was responsible for planning and organizing games, sports and crafts for children ages 10 and up. I was also responsible for supervising my individual group of 12 kids.
