I started trimming in the fall of 1998. I started out with a little shetland we had, and once I was trimming fairly well mom let me move up to the bigger horses the next spring. I've been doing all our own horses feet ever since. I've advertised a little, but competion is hard with people that have certificates in this field. I have a little training from a guy that has attended many Strausser clinics. I really don't believe in this type of trimming with the low heals and long toes, so just like I do training I use what I like and through out what I don't. I do it more as a friendly favor of $10 per horse. I hate to see a horse suffer from uncared for feet. |
